Morrin Centre Interactive Archive

An interactive Webflow-based archive experience designed for touch-screen use, allowing users to explore historical records through advanced filters, categories, years, and alphabetic search. The project combines a bold editorial interface with app-like database logic powered by Xano, bilingual support, light/dark mode, and custom interactions designed to make research feel intuitive, visual, and engaging.

My Role

Lead Developer & Webflow

The Challenge

The main challenge was building a searchable database experience that felt both functional and engaging in a touch-screen context. The interface required clear filtering logic, responsive interactions, language switching, and visual states that supported exploration without making the experience feel technical or overwhelming.

Approach & Solution

I developed the interface and interaction logic around how users would physically explore the application on a screen. The system connects Webflow with Xano as the backend database, allowing users to search and filter records by name, year, letter, category, and other criteria while keeping the experience fast, visual, and easy to use.

Key Features

  • Built an app-like archive experience inside Webflow.
  • Designed interactions around touch-screen usability.
  • Connected Webflow with Xano for searchable database logic.
  • Supported bilingual content and interface switching.
  • Added light and dark mode for different viewing contexts.
